Hans Voerknecht (1959) is a senior consultant at CE Delft’s transport division. He specializes in the Urban transition to Sustainable Mobility. His topics are behavioural change, bicycle and public transport policy, modal shift, mobility management, parking policy and city logistics. He works for various stakeholders, develops tools and guides working processes leading to transitions. Before he joined CE, Hans worked for CROW for 10 years and for regional public authorities for 20 years. Hans is an internationally recognized expert on bicycle policy. He was one of the founding fathers of the Dutch Cycling Embassy and has focused for the last three years on chain bicycle trips. He is the driving force behind implementation of Park&Bike in the Netherlands. He devised a ‘light’ method for Cost Benefit Analysis for smaller projects. He has an extensive network amongst public authorities, market parties and scientists that provides an essential contribution to the transition to Urban Sustainable Mobility.
