Lisanne van Wijngaarden
junior researcher/consultant

I joined CE Delft as a junior researcher/consultant in March 2017, where I apply my economic knowledge to the Transport sector. My interest in the intersection between economic policy and the environment was sparked before but enhanced during my MA Economics from the University of Edinburgh and MSc Environmental Economics & Climate Change from the London School of Economics. My master thesis investigated the effect of the low emission zone for passenger vehicles on air pollution in the city of Rotterdam. Prior to joining CE Delft, I worked at the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of The Netherlands to the United Nations in New York. After following the UN negotiations concerning the environment on behalf of The Netherlands, I’m now looking to develop myself further through carrying out complex research projects and translating them to concrete policy recommendations.
