Business models for district-based groundwater management

Practical guide and Slideshow

This report aims to provide a practical guide and source of  inspiration for local and provincial authorities to move towards sustainable funding of district-based groundwater management, which can help achieve both cost savings and social benefits.

Many local and provincial authorities have demonstrated the feasibility of sustainable funding mechanisms and that these can help realise political ambitions with respect to groundwater management. With this practical guide, authorities that have already implemented policies in this area can not only learn from the experience gained but also look for inspiration from other sectors (green area management, local energy funds, noise control).

A summary of this report is available as a slideshow.
