Green Tax Battle electric

Assessment of the five proposals

In the Green Tax Battle, five teams were challenged to come up with concrete fiscal proposals for incentivising the transition to electric transport. At the request of Natuur en Milieu (Netherlands Society for Nature and Environment), CE Delft and Loyens & Loeff the five proposals were evaluated with respect to mobility, environmental, financial and market effects as well their scope for realistic implementation. In doing so, a qualitative approach was adopted, and the results therefore provide a rough first-pass analysis of the effects the various proposals are likely to have.
