About Eefje

In spring 2023, I joined CE Delft as a researcher/advisor in the Economics sector. My work covers a wide range of topics, including circular economy and environmental pricing, as well as topics such as sustainable fisheries. My goal is to contribute to a more sustainable society through well-researched economic analyses and reports.

I have gained experience with multidisciplinary projects working on other research projects: as a postdoctoral researcher on a project on sustainable biofuels (Inclusive Biobased Innovations, TU Delft) and as a project manager and consultant for a project on economics and ethics (Moral Markets, VU Amsterdam). Currently, I am completing my PhD thesis that addresses various aspects of the impact of the increased popularity, i.e. the ‘mainstreaming’, of fair trade.

I studied Economics at Tilburg University (BSc) and the University of Amsterdam (MSc). I also earned a master’s degree in Christianity & Society from Tilburg University (MA). In addition, I spent several months volunteering in sustainable agricultural projects in northern Spain through the WWOOF network.
