On 1 January 2005 provisions came into force obliging electricity suppliers and producers to report the shares of various energy sources in the overall fuel mix they supply or produce. Using the data available in January 2005, CE analysed the mix embodied in the electricity supplied to Dutch end users in 2004, distinguishing between domestic production and imports. The CO2 emissions and the volume of nu-clear waste associated with both domestically produced and imported power were also inventoried.
