It is hard to envisage a world without aviation. It connects people and economies and plays a pivotal role in today’s society, yet we still haven’t found a simple, affordable way to make it sustainable on any meaningful scale.
Sustainable development of aviation requires careful balancing of its up- and downsides. We have many years of experience in this field and are well-versed in international aviation as well as the challenges facing airports. In our work we consider both environmental impacts (climate, noise, air pollution) and economic aspects (direct and indirect employment and added value, spillover effects).
Policy to balance the up- and downsides (aviation and the ETS, standards, economic policies, corporate social responsibility).
Elaboration of airport environmental strategies and policies, airport rules and regulations.
We calculate climate footprints, noise nuisance and air pollutant emissions and estimate the effectiveness of abatement measures.
Integrated economic and environmental comparison of the pros and cons of aviation and airport growth.
