The municipality of Tilburg has formulated the goal of CO2 neutrality in 2050, with an intermediate goal of 55% CO2 reduction in 2030. CE Delft has calculated the effects on CO2 emission reduction of standing and proposed policies and measures and compared this to background of national reduction policies and developments in the Netherlands. The local additional policies and measures in Tilburg result in 126 kiloton reduction of emissions in 2030. In total this amounts to a projected 48% emission reduction in 2030, 7% short of the goal of 55% reduction in 2030. The projected emission reduction in 2050 is 94%. CE Delft used the CEGEM model for this recurring monitoring exercise.
