Electricity emission factors

This document provides a brief summary of the premises adopted in calculating the supply-chain emissions of Dutch domestically produced electricity in 2018.

The following data on electricity mix (percentage feed-in of the various sources) were used:

• the 2018 Dutch domestic mix (in PJ) as determined by the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL; Table 13b in appendix of KEV 2019) (PBL, 2019)
• natural gas split across cogeneration and other based on 2017 CBS data (CBS, 2019).
