Electricity products for the consumer and small-business market

This study, carried out for the Dutch Consumer Association, reviews the nature, source composition and, where applicable, source of the Guarantees of Origin (GO) of a total of 59 electricity products from 32 suppliers. For each product the following issues were addressed:

• What component energy sources are embodied in the product?
• Does the green electricity come from domestic of foreign sources?
• If biomass is used, what is its composition and where is it sourced?
