CE Delft has conducted a study on the feasibility and sustainability of ‘blue’ hydrogen produced from natural gas with CCS. The study identifies the challenges in each process step and concludes that industrial-scale blue hydrogen production, transport and application is feasible in the Netherlands. Although additional research is required, these challenges are more modest than anticipated by many stakeholders.
