Logistics charging in Tilburg. Towards zero-emission urban logistics

Tilburg municipality has formally pledged to have a zero-emission zone for logistical transport (trucks and vans) inside the city’s ring roads by 2025. This essentially means that by then there will only be zero-emission trucks and vans driving in Tilburg.

At the request of Logistics Top Sector, Districon and CE Delft have determined the future electrical charging capacity required for the logistical operations concerned. The impact of this charging capacity on the power grid was calculated in collaboration with Enexis. This report shows there will be considerable truck charging demand at business premises/parks and ditto for vans in residential areas.
