In early 2020 CE Delft estimated the energy-related CO2 emissions within Amsterdam municipality’s boundaries in 2030. The municipal council aspires to cut these emissions by 55% in 2030 compared with 1990. The question addressed in this update is the extent to which the target will be secured with standing and proposed policies. The issue of the potential impact of the corona virus was also examined and a parallel estimate made for 2025.
