Review of the economic impact analysis of the expansion of London City Airport

London City Airport recently published a Draft Master Plan for accommodating 11 million passengers by 2035. The Airport proposes raising the annual cap from 111,000 to 151,000 flights, abolishing the weekend break and allowing more flights early in the morning and late in the evening. The socio-economic impacts of the proposals were presented in a Socio-Economic Assessment Report.

This CE Delft report is a methodological review of the Draft Master Plan, based on the official UK transport analysis guidelines. It also reviews the results and recalculates the estimated economic impact using the results of the methodological review and the review of results.
