As a Senior Consultant within the Sustainable Cities team at CE Delft, I work on complex transitions at the interface between public and private interests. My expertise focuses on local heat transition, area-based strategies, and collective energy systems. With more than thirty years of experience in initiating and leading societal change processes, I have extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary teams comprising policymakers, technical experts, and local residents.
As the initiator and project manager of the Solar Heat project in Haarlem, one of the Netherlands’ National Natural Gas-Free Neighbourhoods (PAW) pilot projects, I translated complex technical scenarios into a widely supported portfolio of individual solutions and innovative small-scale heat networks. My background as the founder and/or director of several organisations, combined with my experience as a shadow councillor, enables me to combine an entrepreneurial approach with a thorough understanding of public governance and extensive expertise in stakeholder engagement.
