Emiel is a researcher/consultant in the Energy & Fuels sector. Before joining CE Delft he worked in Brussels, first as a trainee at the European Commission (DG Energy) and later as a consultant, acting as an intermediary between the European institutions and the private sector. At Brussels Emiel gained experience in European climate and energy policy and the EU legislative process.
Emiel has an academic background in geography and Russian studies. After his graduation Emiel worked as an intern at the Dutch ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Council of Europe and he worked on energy issues in the Southern Caucasus.
