“Emissions must be drastically reduced while the demand for mobility continues to rise, and the Netherlands and Europe must remain accessible and competitive.”
The transport sector is one of the largest polluters in Europe and the only sector where emissions have increased since 1990 instead of decreased. Emissions must be drastically reduced while the demand for mobility continues to rise, and the Netherlands and Europe must remain accessible and competitive. In short, the challenge is enormous.
For seven years, I have been dedicated to developing efficient and environmentally friendly mobility solutions for governments and businesses. I do this for various clients, including Rijkswaterstaat, the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Port of Rotterdam, the European Commission, and the European Parliament. Outside the EU, I have experience in the Western Balkans, Turkey, and Kazakhstan.

In these projects, I have alternated between the roles of expert and project manager. I have experience in impact assessments, policy evaluations, forecasts, market research, cost-benefit analyses, and modelling transport flows, costs, and emissions.
I graduated from Radboud University Nijmegen with a master’s degree in Social Geography. Since 2025, I have been working in the Transport & Mobility department at CE Delft. Before that, I worked for seven years as a researcher and advisor in transport and mobility policy at consultancy firm Panteia.
