I joined CE Delft in October 2017 as a researcher/advisor in the Supply Chain Analysis sector. Here, I use life cycle assessments (LCAs) to evaluate the environmental impacts of products and services and identify improvement options.
Before joining CE Delft, I was a PhD candidate at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at Utrecht University, focusing on the sustainability of biobased materials. I contributed to various research projects by conducting LCAs (for instance for natural fibres, chemicals, plastics and final products) and evaluating how simple methods and tools can support the development process of biobased materials. Prior to that, I followed the Energy Science (MSc) programme and was an intern at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Bonn, Germany, where I prepared factsheets on the production of bio-methanol and bio-ethylene. With this background in sustainable technology, energy and environmental assessments, at CE Delft I want to provide advice on sustainability to companies, governments and other organisations.
