Energy prices have risen sharply recently. This has consequences for the cost recovery period of sustainability measures, such as insulation and a heat pump. Moreover, since the beginning of the year, sustainability subsidies have increased and proposed adjustments to the energy tax could shorten the cost recovery period even further, making investments in sustainability more attractive.
NVDE asked CE Delft to provide insight into the current cost recovery periods for various sustainability measures. The effects of high energy prices and government policies are presented in a fact sheet. We explain the basic principles and assumptions in the paper.
