Impact analysis of the Climate Plan 2025-2035

The Cabinet aims to achieve the climate goals with the new Climate Plan for 2025-2035. The Climate Act (Klimaatwet) prescribes that the Cabinet draw up a Climate Plan every five years, including a consideration of the consequences, and present it to the Upper and Lower Houses of Parliament. The Climate Plan contains the general outlines and policy agenda for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This study provides insight into the quantitative consequences of the Climate Plan for households, businesses, the economy, its impact on general prosperity and employment. It does so on the basis of three scenarios for reducing greenhouse gas emissions between 2030 and 2050.
