The European Commission has launched the FuelEU Maritime Initiative, which aims to increase the demand for renewable and low-carbon fuels (RLF) from ships sailing to and from EU ports. This report analyses the impact of the initiative on the Dutch maritime sector and addresses the question of whether there are other benefits of supply-oriented policies in addition to FuelEU Maritime.
