Renewable energy in the Dutch Long-Term Agreement on Energy Efficiency

In the Netherlands’ Long-Term Agreement on Energy Efficiency (MJA3) there are a number of monitoring issues around renewable energy that need to be resolved. This project addresses and analyses these issues and sets out a number of perspectives on solutions for future monitoring. The following research questions are addressed:

1. Where are the bottlenecks?
2. What simple, consistent and widely applicable directions for solutions are available to address these bottlenecks?
3. What monitoring methods are generally used, and what are their pros and cons?
4. How do the directions for solutions tie in with existing monitoring methods and the current MJA methodology?
