For me, circularity, transforming feedstock supply chains into closed loops, is a cornerstone of building a sustainable world.
At CE Delft I work on the sustainability of raw materials and products, using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to identify the unsustainable aspects of raw material supply chains and chart a route towards true sustainability. For me, circularity, transforming feedstock supply chains into closed loops, is a cornerstone of building a sustainable world. I always emphasise the link between circularity and true (measurable) sustainability. I’m always concerned with identifying the parameters required for monitoring purposes, both for quantifying the degree of circularity and for creating insight into product environmental footprints.
I lead projects and am available for consultancy. Whatever the project, I think it’s always important to be client-oriented. This means careful discussion on the project’s aim and structure, to guarantee results and advice that can help the client forward. I also enjoy presenting analysis results in an readily understandable and visually appealing way. For that reason, as well as because of my background as an industrial designer, developing flexible digital LCA tools is another of my interests.
