For me, circularity, transforming feedstock supply chains into closed loops, is a cornerstone of building a sustainable world.

About Marijn

Researcher and Consultant | Circular Product Chains Theme Lead

Expertise: circular measures for product chains | impact assessment | resource conservation and waste management

At CE Delft, I work on sustainability challenges related to products and raw materials. The application of circular strategies is an important way to achieve sustainable products and product chains. The question I am keen to tackle is:  what combination of measures will work to achieve circular and sustainable product and product chains?

In projects, I use my knowledge of various product and material chains, developed through many years of experience with life cycle analysis (LCA). Together with colleagues, I calculate the results achieved through reuse, high-quality recycling, reduced use of raw materials, and the application of alternative materials — including resource conservation, CO₂ reduction, and environmental benefits.

I am an experienced project leader with an analytical approach. In all projects, I consider it important to work in a client-focused manner. This means maintaining good dialogue with stakeholders, keeping the project’s objectives in mind, to arrive at results that enable the client to really move forward. I enjoy presenting the results of an analysis in a clear and visually engaging way.
