What drives Jasper is a desire to translate CE Delft’s know-how and expertise into effective policies and provide his clients the tools they need to independently take the next steps towards a more sustainable world.
Jasper heads up CE Delft’s work on local energy transitions. He helps municipal authorities develop and review their climate and energy policies, elaborate the energy transition in the built environment (heat transition vision and regional energy strategies) and work out how these issues relate to other local policy challenges. What drives Jasper is a desire to translate CE Delft’s know-how and expertise into effective policies and provide his clients the tools they need to independently take the next steps towards a more sustainable world.
After graduating in sustainability sciences at Lund University, Sweden, Jasper worked for six years as a policy official with the municipality of The Hague, with a focus on urban energy and sustainability policy and public housing. Jasper is an experienced lecturer and is a frequent speaker at citizens assemblies and local and regional council meetings. He is also proficient as a mediator at meetings and stakeholder assembles and for thinktanks.
