Aviation enables us to travel the world for holiday, business or family visits. Mitigating the negative impacts on climate, nature and human health is a challenge. Effective and efficient policy to obtain this goal is the focus of my work.
My function as theme lead aviation entails the coordination of CE Delft’s aviation research. Before, I have worked as a senior administrator sustainable aviation at the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. In this function, I was responsible for the legislative proposal for a Dutch CO2 ceiling for aviation, the Dutch policy approach on non-CO2 climate impact of aviation and monitoring & forecasting of aviation CO2 emissions. I have also worked as a junior, medior and senior sustainable mobility and transport consultant at CE Delft. I have studied theoretical physics at Utrecht University.
