This report presents the results of the updated CO₂-eq. emission factors for biomethane featured on the website CO₂emissiefactoren.nl. Compared with the previous version, the technology categories have been revised, with an explanation of how the former categories correspond to the new ones.
The new categories are:
For co-digestion and mono-manure digestion, new emission factors have been estimated; for sludge digestion, the emission factor from the previous version has been retained. To estimate the weighted average emission factor, data on the share of each technology category in the current biomethane production mix in the Netherlands were used.
