As standard practice, the municipality of Eindhoven is integrating sustainability into ever more policy areas, to make the city an attractive, clean and high-quality place to live, work, play and visit. The Municipal Auditors are keen to understand the social effects of policy pursued to date and whether implementation is up to expectations. CE Delft was therefore commissioned to prepare a factual report on the success and cost-effectiveness of municipal policies relating to sustainability. This document reports and discusses the results and identifies areas where there may be room for improvement. The study was based on an extensive dossier study of relevant policy documents at the municipal headquarters and interviews with policy officials, coupled with the broad expertise on sustainability available at CE Delft.
