My fascination for the interplay of material flows and their environmental and societal impact motivates me to make detailed analyses of how it all fits together while keeping sight of the whole.

About Jessica

I joined CE Delft in March 2021 and work on a variety of themes, but mainly on projects related to water and agricultural supply chains.

In my previous employment on the policy staff of Vitens, the focus of my work was how sustainability could best be put into practice at drinking water production sites. My activities included development of decision tools for assessing the effectiveness of interventions to reduce production losses and improve the quality of waste materials, for example.

While my master’s study in Water Science and Management gave me a thorough knowledge of the physical elements of the water system, during my time in the water sector I gained practical familiarity with another element of the water business: the fact that solving water-related issues inevitably requires input from a range of different disciplines and stakeholders.

My fascination for the interplay of material flows and their environmental and societal impact motivates me to make detailed analyses of how it all fits together while keeping sight of the whole. I put this into practice via LCA studies in the Supply Chain Analysis sector.
