Using my background in mechanical engineering and philosophy, I enjoy working on the interaction between technical solutions and policy and strategy development for a sustainable future.
In the past 15 years I have worked within the theme of sustainability, first as a student, later as a professional in different positions. Since 2021 I have been working at CE Delft as a researcher in Sustainable Cities department. Using my background in mechanical engineering and philosophy, I enjoy working on the interaction between technical solutions and policy and strategy development for a sustainable future.
My experience as consultant is broad, ranging from stakeholder management to technical design of installations. Some of the projects I have worked on are designing underground infrastructure, preparing sustainability roadmaps for companies regarding their building assets and recently I have worked on energy strategies for urban development projects, including modelling balancing and storage strategies of renewable energy sources.
At CE Delft I mainly work on optimal mobility and energy supply solutions for neighbourhoods and cities. In addition, I use my experience as a consultant for the development of tools and models for integrated policy analyses.
