This report provides the results of an initial exploration into the environmental price of various categories of waste. Environmental prices reflect the loss of wellbeing (expressed in Euros) that occurs when environmental damage is caused. The study provides an initial estimate of environmental price per waste stream by treatment route. This study distinguishes between the processing routes of incineration, recycling or landfill. In the process, major gaps in knowledge were identified. CE Delft concludes that further study is needed to establish more accurate environmental prices.
