CE Delft was commissioned by the municipality of Zoetermeer to supervise the process of creating a transition vision on heating. This vision is not categorised at neighbourhood level, but by cluster of logical building units. CE Delft carried out an analysis of logical heat solutions at building cluster level and produced a comprehensive report on developments in the municipality, logical heat sources and the impact of energy transition on infrastructure. Â Together with CE Delft, the municipality of Zoetermeer then prepared the definitive transition vision on heating.
CE Delft also handled the participation process. A city-wide survey was conducted and digital resident sessions were organised. In addition, an active sounding board group of grid managers, housing corporations and residents’ initiatives contributed to the transition vision during the process.
