Amanda Bachaus
researcher/consultant

Exploring environment and sustainability issues from an economic perspective interests me enormously and my hope is that my work in this field contributes to a successful climate and energy transition.

About Amanda

I have been a researcher/consultant with the Economy sector since September 2019, contributing to the design, execution and reporting stages of a wide range of studies for a variety of clients. Thanks to my BSc in Earth & Economics, MSc in Spatial, Transport and Environmental Economics and MSc in Environment and Resource Management I have a multidisciplinary background and am well-versed in environmental and transport economics, the energy transition and policy issues. I also have experience in Geographical Information Systems (GIS). For my masters’ theses I investigated the potential for optimising climate treaties and created a model to compute the employment effects of renewable energy investments. Exploring environment and sustainability issues from an economic perspective interests me enormously and my hope is that my work in this field contributes to a successful climate and energy transition.
